5. Cap the tube and vortex thoroughly for approximately
1 minute or until dissolved. You can shake the tube by
hand if you do not have a vortex mixer.
6. Microcentrifuge the tube for 30 seconds at
2,000 to 5,000 rpm. Alternatively, allow the solution to
settle for about 10 minutes. You may see a precipitate at
the bottom of the tube.
When applying matrix, use the supernatant, not the
precipitate.
